If you are planning on serving up some Ribs, Chicken Wings, or Weenies this Superbowl Sunday, don’t for get the cole slaw. This recipe for copy kat Kentucky Fried Chicken cole slaw is da’ bomb!
And it’ good. Oh so good. Just like the real thing. Except it doesn’t come in a Styrofoam container.
Ingredients {slightly adapted from this recipe}
8 cups finely diced cabbage
1/4 cup diced carrots
3 tablespoons onions, minced {I like onions!}
Dressing
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup milk {I used 2%}
1/2 cup mayonnaise {I had to borrow this from Mrs. Hillbilly}
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions
Wisk together the dressing and set aside. Finely chop the cabbage, carrots and onion and mix together in a large bowl. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and combine. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

I have made coleslaw with apple cider vinegar before, it’s really good, I would try substituting that and maybe even honey for the sugar, just to be different
I’d love to register for the herb collection. I LOVE your site! I will be attempting to begin raised bed gardening this year. We have grown tomatoes and peppers in the past, but herbs are my favorite.
