Mavis…..in the article I was reading concerning you on CNN…..you said you have so many extra carrots…..find,buy or borrow a juicer…..my favorite and you’ll find carrot juice per glass takes more carrots than one would think…..juicer folks never have enough carrots….just an idea
be mindful when juicing carrots. i was juicing/drinking about 1-1/2 qt carrot juice per day with about 1 cup of greens and… well after about a month i started to get an EXTREME flushed feeling as if taking way to many niacin pills. apparently you can overlaod / toxify your system with too much vitamin a! once i stopped drinking so much carrot juice symptoms went away.
I know this might sound strange, but I thought since you would hug some hiker guy you might take me up on my invitation. Here goes. My family and I just moved out to Olalla from Lakewood. We have gone from city living with a very small garden to 2 acres and lots of premade raised garden beds. I am so jazzed about raising my garden next year – your web site has totally got me going. But I’m a little afraid because I typically start out well and then kill everything, I think I might put plants in the wrong locations???. I really want it to work this time. I plan to get chickens in the spring and fertilize with them and my bunnies – I started a compost pile yesterday. I am also shopping for a greenhouse right now. Soooooooo, would you kindly come out and have some some tea with me and help me plan where to put things and just give me some get up and go plan??? Please???? I am a Bible study teacher and I know Heather “Queen Bee”‘s mother in law, Melinda C., she is a good friend and you can call her and check me out first. Mavis, I would like to know the brand of water boots you have on in your garden pics? I am in search of a pair that are up to the knee and could care less about these silly little decorative ones that you find in the stores !
