Online Things
It was a FANTASTIC week in the online department.
#1 I finally wrote a post {and made a video} of how to hook a rug. It only took me 10 years… But now I can check it off my to-do list!
#2 I celebrated by going to FIKA and loading up on pastries.
#3 I made a wee bit of progress on my latest pattern.
#4 I am now at 18,902 sales on Etsy. Only 1,98 more to go. Basically all I need to do is sell 4.72 items a day for the rest of the year and I’ll reach my goal.
Online Goals for 2025
- Reach 20,000 sales in Etsy shop MavisButterfield {I’m currently at 18,902}
In Stock and Ready to Ship by March 31st{DONE!}- Create 4 new patterns/kits {2 completed so far; Great Black Whale Rug and Pod of Black Whales
- Take all new pictures + videos for Etsy shop {in progress}
Get as much as humanly possible done online January – March of this year.- Stop picking up my phone so much {Doing great with this!}
- Spend less than 3 hours a day online {Yep!}
- Tidy up the back end of the blog HA HA HA
I got 2 walls painted downstairs. I plan on painting the trim on those two walls before moving on to the next section.
Ideally it would be nice if I could get the entire downstairs painted by the end of the month. We’ll see what happens.
We also went to the tile store to check out our options for our main bathroom. It’s down to two choices. And THANK YOU for all your input. Clearly the majority of you like the tiles with the little flecks of blue. 🙂
House Things
- Paint The Inside Of The House {including closets!}
- Paint The Interior Window Trim
- Remodel Bathroom #1
- Freshen up Bathroom #2 {Just need to install the facet and hang something on the wall}
- Put Stuff On The Walls
- Work on “new” Kitchen Game Plan
Garden Things
It was a good week in the garden.
Although it rained most of the week we were able to get the side door painted, finish staining the wooden platform and get the giant white planted stuffed full of pea starts.
Today and tomorrow are supposed to be really nice around here so I’m hoping we can get some edging done in the front and maybe install a birdhouse in the back.
I still need to find a few pots for the stairs in the back so maybe we can squeeze in a trip to the garden center too.
The flats of basil and tomatoes that I planted are coming along nicely. I’ll probably repot them this week and also get my cucumber, zucchini and beans started if we can get the side yard dug up.
Garden Goals
- Grow 365 pounds of food in my teeny tiny backyard.
- Install a side yard {flower} garden {hopefully next week}
Make a Potting Bench{decided I didn’t need one}- Make a Garden Cart to sell flowers/veggies out front
Kitchen Things
I ate in the kitchen… and made chocolate chip cookie dough but that was about it. 🙂 No new recipes.
- Try 12 new recipes {3 down, 9 to go}
- Fill the canning cupboard

Marriage Things
We only got 3 good walks in this past week due to the rain but we did get some house things done and take a trip to a bakery so all in all it was a good/productive week.
Also, the HH cut me some more buoys and I can finish up the next wave and he swapped the tan colored light switches for white ones on the walls I painted.
- Keep my husband busy

Your cookie photo reminded me of the Christmas gift I gave my husband. I made him cookie dough. I scooped it like your picture and froze it vacuum sealed. It only took me a few hours and I made 27 bags, with a dozen cookie dough balls each. It was the best gift idea ever. There are only a few left. We are taking a trip the beginning of June and then I plan on making enough for the rest of the year.
He would always ask for cookies in the evenings and I rarely did it because by the time he would ask I would be tired from the day and did not want to get all the baking stuff out.

Happy Mum’s Day to all.
Do you mind sharing which tour company Jen used? I am looking to go on a solo tour of Wales area-but not sure which company to go with.
Thanks so much
Cheers

Hi Mavis!
Looks like someone shared rhubarb with you. I mentioned in an earlier comment I was hoping to get a piece of mine to you, but I’ve had very limited time spent in the yard lately. I can cross that off my to do and get it out of my head if you did in fact get some.
Mavis Butterfield says
Yes! Kiln Guy to the rescue. 🙂 It’s always fun to get free plants.

My aunt and uncle had a sheep farm in Wales, near Pwllheli, way back in the last millennium. I visited when they were having professional shearers come shear the sheep. I helped my aunt bundle the fleeces, and the shearers let me try shearing. It was a fabulous day. The rugged purple mountains, the musical language, an old stone farmhouse–it really fed my sense of romance!
