Yesterday we rode bikes to Rococo Ice Cream in Kennebunk for some of their delicious ice cream. Even though it was 97 degrees outside, the bike ride was really nice.
One of the best parts of living in New England is all the ice cream shops. They’re pretty much everywhere and they’re always busy.
And seriously, what’s not to love about ice cream? Especially when it comes in so many different flavors.
Goat cheese blackberry chambord {delicious!}, Maine whoopie pie, dark chocolate and creamsicle strawberry swirl.
Banana red hot, lemon chiffon and brandy cherry, earl grey sour cherry with pistachios, and rocky road.
Salty sweet cream {crazy good!} honey vanilla and raspberry red wine sorbet were just a few of the flavors at Rococo ice cream this time around.
Being the tea lover that I am, I went for the Earl Grey sour cherry jam with pistachios and it did not disappoint.
If you ever make it to Kennebunk, Maine you’ve got to stop by and try one {or more} of their unique flavors.
They also have a dessert bar too that’s open in the evenings. It was so HOT outside yesterday, that not only did we get ice cream for lunch… But we went back later that evening to check out the dessert bar.
Research. You’ve got to be thorough right? I mean how could I show you the scoop shop and not the desert bar? 😉
Look at those seats!!
And those barstools. Talk about cute.
All the little details… Were so much fun.
The HH had a root beer float.
And I ordered the chocolate chip cookie royale.
A warm chocolate chip cookie with sweet salty cream ice cream, sea salt caramel and sesame brittle… It was a winning combination if you ask me.
I’d get it again in a heartbeat. But I think maybe I’ll wait a while. 😉
If you’re ever in Kennebunk, Maine and looking for a great place for dessert… Check out Rococo Ice Cream. You’ll be so glad you did.
Have a great day everyone.

Wow- thank you so much for taking us all along on your adventures! Love living vicariously through your blog! The ice cream flavors alone were so unique and that dessert bar – oh my! I was guessing that you were having the Earl Grey sour cherry jam and pitstachio icecream as soon as I saw the photo-haha! Those seats at the dessert bar look like lady fingers for tiramisu! The chocolate cake sounds so decadent- I might need to try that combo here at home. Our favorite mom and pop Italian restaurant has a similar dessert that I always order (a chocolate pate cake chocolate mousse chocolate ganache with raspberry sauce). Thank you for taste testing for research and sharing all the photos! Enjoy the summer icecream shops!

I LOVE this place! They used to be located on the end of the road, closer to Cape
Porpoise, and they lost their lease a couple of years ago. This new location looks so much nicer! She learned to make ice cream in Argentina. The chambered is one of my favorites! I also like pink peppercorn, passion fruit, horchata… they’re all soooo good!
