Online Things
Last week I finished hooking and steaming my third large rug of the year. Now I just need to finish putting the video together.
I’m super excited at this video because I started it months ago and it really shows all the steps {from drawing out a huge rug, to cutting the wool strips to hooking it all together}.
I should be ready to share it in another day or two. 🙂

House Things
The tile is in! 4 working days late, but it’s finally in. Now we just need to hook everything up. The plumbing, the sink faucet, all the shower stuff, the toilet.
Plus the HH needs to install the trim and find a white pan {is that what it’s called?} to go underneath the washing machine.
Fingers crossed it will all be done by the time the washer/dryer unit arrives at the end of the week. If all goes well, the bathroom should be finished by this time next week. I’m not holding my breath though. 😉
Remodels… They always seem to take longer than you think!
House Goals

- Paint The Interior Window Trim
- Remodel Bathroom #1 {scheduled!}
- Freshen up Bathroom #2 {Just need to install the facet and hang something on the wall}

Garden Things
The lime light hydrangeas are in FULL BLOOM and they look gorgeous! I love this variety of hydrangeas because you really get three colors for the price of one.
First they’re white, then a light lime color then a dusty pink.
If you’ve never grown lime light hydrangeas before and are looking for something that’s in bloom from July until October, these are a great choice.
I wish I had room to plant more!!
Also, the vegetable garden is finally starting to produce fruits and veggies at a good clip. The tomatoes and beans especially. And we’re starting to pick zucchini now too. 🙂
Here’s what we’ve harvested so far:
- Green Beans 1 pound 15 ounces
- Radishes 8.4 ounces
- Rosemary 1 ounce
- Sugar Snap Peas 1 pound 2.3 ounces
- Strawberries 5 ounces {the Chippy’s keep eating them!}
- Tomatoes 2 pounds 11 ounces
- Zucchini 2 pounds 12ounces

This past week I shared pictures and a video of our trip to see the Frank Cabot garden Les Quatre Vents in Charlevoix, Quebec.
It was a long drive to get there but a wonderful trip and I’m so glad we went. I’d still like to go back to Quebec City for a few days at some point. Maybe next year?
I LOVE traveling. And I have another {bonus} trip lined up that I’m super excited about. Life. Sometimes it’s crazy busy and sometimes it’s not. I suppose you just have to go with the flow.

Marriage Things
I LOVE my husband and I LOVE that he is able to do the things that I’m not good at {like installing stuff}.
It has been a really busy summer for us and fall is going to be even crazier. It’s hard to believe that winter will be here in just a few short months so there’s this big push to get things done before it gets cold outside again.
Where does the time go?
I hope you are having a good summer so far. It’s hard to believe it’s almost over.
~Mavis
