Online Things
I was finally able to check another goal of my list recently, and that was creating my fourth new pattern of the year; Sailor’s Delight.
I LOVE hooking these large rugs, and I especially love hooking whale rugs. Something about them just makes me smile.
The pattern is now listed in my Etsy shop and the video tutorial of how I hooked the giant rug from start to finish is on my youtube channel.

House Things
Silly me, I thought I’d come home and be able to help the HH finish the bathroom {painting, trim, caulking, clean up} but it turns out even I need a little down time.
We’ll get to the finishing touches this week. The only thing we won’t be able to get done is the shower door. A glass door will be installed later this winter.
The new Electrolux washer/dryer combo is on though {we bought it from Costco} and it works great! The machine is much quieter than the unit we had before, so that’s a plus.
House Goals
- Paint The Inside Of The House {including closets!}
- Paint The Interior Window Trim
- Remodel Bathroom #1 {scheduled!}
- Freshen up Bathroom #2 {Just need to install the facet and hang something on the wall}
- Put Stuff On The Walls {working on it}
- Work on “new” Kitchen Game Plan

The tomatoes are really starting to come in now and I couldn’t be happier. The green beans too. I think I’ll make a batch of tomato ketchup in the next day or two.
The recipe I made a few years ago was SO GOOD, we are still talking about it. And that my friends is how you know you have a winner!
Here’s what we’ve harvested so far:
- Green Beans 5 pound 2 ounces
- Radishes 8.4 ounces
- Rosemary 2 ounces
- Sugar Snap Peas 1 pound 2.3 ounces
- Strawberries 5 ounces {the Chippy’s keep eating them!}

Also, the bees are LOVING the ornamental onions right now. They just can’t get enough of all the purple pom pom flowers!!

Travel Things
This past week I shared a few videos of my trip to London and I have another 6 videos I still need to put together and share.
Also, I spotted this funky shirt dress and now I’m wishing I would have bought it. Not that I’m a shirt dress kind of person, but I should have at least gone in and checked the price.
That always happens when I go on vacation. I see something and wish I would have bought it and then am kicking myself later.
Oh well, at least I have enough tea and biscuits to get through the winter. 😉

The tile in the bathroom is so nice and the navy countertop is a pop of color! Maybe look at the store’s website about that shirt dress -ya never know you might be able to buy it online. Wishing you all a fabulous week- go make it a great one!

Love the blog and all the pictures of England lately. That’s really special getting to spend that time there with your mom.
I’m having a bit of trouble lately with the blog though. There’s an ad that pops up on the left side top to bottom so I can’t read the text or see all the pics. And I can’t X out of it as it’s not an option. Anyone else having this issue? It’s for Keck Medicine at USC so maybe it’s only a regional problem?

I don’t see it. What type of device are you reading the blog on?
Sue in SoCal says
I read it on a Samsung tablet. It’s a pop up ad I’ve seen twice. Totally blocks 1/3 of the page.
Didn’t see it on Monday’s post.

Approximately $240 for a shapeless sack of a dress that comes down below the calf of a 5’8″ model. It would look like a button-down tarp on someone as petite as you, Mavis.
While the graphics are indeed interesting, they’re better suited to a poster than daywear. IMHO, of course.
It’s so distinctive you couldn’t wear it more than a few times, to few different events. without people commenting, “Oh–THAT dress again?…”

Forgot to mention that your rug is nothing short of magnificent!

When you mentioned your washer/dryer came from Costco, it made me think of the small freezer you bought there. Would you mind refreshing my memory on the brand name. I think I would make a great gift for my Mom!
Thanks!
And by the way, I LOVE that rug!!

Frigidaire. We bought one and The Kiln Guy bought one and they both work great.
