Well, you know it’s definitely the end of summer when people are putting beach chairs and kiddie pools at the end of their driveways here in Maine.
I think I spotted 3 kiddie pools yesterday on my walk. I didn’t need one, but if someone did, well, they wouldn’t have a problem finding a free one.
There’s also been a lot of furniture this summer for some reason.
Lot’s of dressers and chairs and I am absolutely convinced that a person could find everything they’d need to fill a house or a cabin alongside the road here.
So far this summer I’ve picked up a white ceiling fan, a beach towel, 100 {200?} feet of orange lobster rope and probably a half dozen other things.
But I found my best roadside find of the summer while I was walking Lucy.
Luckily I was close to home so I could carry the 3 beverage buckets and 3 wire baskets back to the house.
Check out these white scalloped buckets!!! What a find, right? I have no idea what I’m going to do with them but I knew instantly they needed to come home with me.
I’m also still not sure what I’m going to do with the wire baskets either {but I couldn’t leave them behind!}. I found something similar online and apparently they’re called “blanket baskets”.
I sure do love a good roadside find.
How about YOU? Did you find anything good along the road this summer? Curious minds want to know.

I would have brought the baskets and tubs home with me as well! Maybe they hosted a wedding or party where they were using the containers?

Agree. I love the buckets and baskets too! I haven’t found anything I need recently either, but have also seen some furniture. There was a really nice dining room table on the street near me just yesterday.

Those gold baskets at the end… you could also drill a hole and have tiered swag lights…or lamps 🙂
