Last night I noticed there was a 15 minute cycle on the new washing machine.
I put our sheets in and pressed the button and 15 minutes later the sheets were washed. I tossed them in the dryer and when they were done they didn’t look any different than had they been in there for a 45 minute cycle.
This might be a game changer. Maybe I should investigate how much less water/energy the 15 minute cycle uses but I have better things to do this morning.
Like power walking around town with a backpack filled with water bottles.
Here’s what’s on the agenda for this weekend:
Make a batch of carrot cake jam.
Get the last few pumpkins I need for my fall display.
Delete 500 photos from my phone {I’m up to 4,110 which is way too many!}.
Tape everything off so I can finish painting the bathroom.
Find somewhere hilly to walk!!!
I am stubborn and have zero interest in getting in my car and driving 2-4 hours round trip to practice hiking on a real mountain.
My gut feeling is that if I can keep my heart rate up by power walking and biking and keep walking up and down a zillion stairs I’ll be fine.
Order a new paint by number kit {I wish more of Van Gogh’s sunflower paintings were available!}
Hook my new rug design {and make of video of it for my youtube channel}
Figure out how in the world I am going to keep to my 2 pm tea {and dessert} time while I’m out in the middle of nowhere.
A girl’s got to have her tea!
Now that I think about it… I could prepare a Thermos in the morning and pack it with me. That wouldn’t be weird at all, right? Hmmm.
Does anyone know where I’d find those little shelf stable creamers so I could have milk in my tea too?
Well, that’s all I’ve got for now.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Stay out of trouble.

Mavis, a restaurant supply store will have the creamer.
Your legs will notice if you don’t train on hills, strap on your backpack and go up and down the stairs. And if you wear your backpack while doing household chores, like painting, you’ll get more comfortable carrying it and zero in on packing it correctly. It makes a difference how the weight is distributed in your pack. And last, pay careful attention to your pack weight, load it up with everything and weight it, a pound or two extra makes a huge difference at the end of the day.
Enjoy your trip!

Any international food store, like an Asian market, will sell shelf stable creamers. Usually the powder based ones. You also could get a small milk from the grocery store in one of those aseptic boxes that doesn’t need to be refrigerated. You can also make your own with dried milk or milk based dried powders from the grocery store. MREs sometimes have a “dairy drink” in them and it is nice, not sure of the brand.

I used to get them shelf stable creamers at Costco not sure if they carry them now or not that was a while ago.

I buy creamers off Amazon for work, but Target online and our local grocery stores have them. Staples or an office supply store might too.

Try the regular store by the coffee and tea. Ours all carry Mini Moos creamers and the flavored stuff.
