Online Things
I have a new Thanksgiving pattern in the works, but before I start I want to finish the Anne Nichols turkey rug I started working on last week.
Simply put, I LOVE this pattern! I’ve hooked one almost every year since I discovered it {maybe 10?} years ago. This time around I’m hooking it with a light background.
I checked my Etsy stats and I am at 19,794 “sales” {not actual items sold, but “sales”} and I’m pretty excited about that. Only 206 more to go to hit my goal of 20,000 sales by the end of the year.
I did a fantastic job of not wasting time on the internet or my phone this past week. Having a ton of projects on the old to-do list always helps with that!

House Things
Fact: Flannel sheet season has arrived!! 🙂
This past week we went to the tile store, the paint store, Home Depot, the Re-Store and Home Goods to look for or to pick up supplies for the next round of projects over at the studio.
The goal is to get the upstairs bedroom walls and trim painted this week so we can order carpet.
Normally I’m not a fan of carpet, but since the floors {under the old carpet} were plywood we decided to just do carpet again as a cost saving measure.
Luckily all the other rooms in the studio {except the bathrooms} are hardwood so only two rooms will have carpet.
House Goals

- Paint The Interior Window Trim – Making progress!
Remodel Bathroom #1Done!- Freshen up Bathroom #2 {Just need to install the facet and hang something on the wall}
- Put Stuff On The Walls {working on it}

Garden Things
This past week we planted tulips bulbs, cleaned up the garden and tidied up the yard.
The HH still has to mow one last time and I still need to trim the hydrangea bushes but I think we’re pretty much done with outside projects for the year. Hooray!
I also scored about 20 vases in various shapes and sizes from the side of the road. These will come in handy next spring at my little flower stand!!
Gardening season is over for the year here at Casa De Butterfield. And while I grew more flowers than vegetables this year, I have a feeling next year will be totally different.
Here’s what we’ve harvested so far:
- Beets 2 pounds 4 ounces
- Butternut squash 11 pounds 14 ounces
- Green Beans 5 pounds 2 ounces
- Pumpkins 15 pounds 6 ounces
- Radishes 8.4 ounces
- Rosemary 2 ounces
- Sugar Snap Peas 1 pound 2.3 ounces
- Strawberries 5 ounces

Travel Things
I’m done traveling for the year {or at least I think I am. You never know when an irresistible last minute fare will pop up} and I’m looking forward to hunkering down and listening to audio books and watching a few movies this winter.
I picked up a few $1 dvd’s at the library this week. I buy them for $1 then sell them for $1 at a yard sale so it’s a win-win in my book. The library makes a little money and I get my money back.

Have a great Sunday everyone,

I like your flannel sheets. Where did you find them?
Mavis Butterfield says
Costco.
Janet says
Try fleece sheets. They are SO much better than flannel sheets. They are like slipping into warm blankets. They dry fast in the dryer. We stopped using an electric blanket when we got them. My kids also LOVE them. So nice during the winter.
eliz says
Do they pill?
Sue says
Sorry to yuck your yum, but they’re not breathable.
I’d as soon sleep encased in Saran Wrap, on a foam mattress. Shudder.
