Since everyone is probably still stuffed from yesterday and {hopefully} having a lazy day, I thought I’d share some pictures of a very odd shop I happened upon while we were in the village of Tetbury this past summer.
It was the flower box filled with ornamental onions {?} that caught my eye. I popped in. And boy was I surprised.
I’m still not exactly sure what kind of store it was. Home decor? Art gallery? Antique store? Taxidermy? No clue. But it was interesting, that’s for sure.
And that’s why we travel, right? To see new things.
I can honestly say I don’t know a single person who would want to purchase a stuffed black swan.
Why? Why would someone want to display this in their home? Taxidermy. In a museum? Yes. In a home? Not so much.
But what do I know?
The flowers and linen chairs were beautiful though. Are those stock {flowers}? I love that color combo.
Is that a badger?
Shops. They can sure be interesting. I think if I were to have a shop one day it would be filled with jam, sea salt chocolate chip cookies, fresh flowers, rug hooking supplies and framed paint by number paintings.
And maybe some wooden buoys.
I bet people would think that was a stage combination too. 😉
Fingers crossed you get to enjoy the weekend in your pajamas. That’s what I’ll be doing.
Have a good one,
~Mavis

Interesting shop.
I think the flowers in the window box were agapanthus. Not ornamental onions. Fabulous blue flowers.

That badgers (?) face gave me a good laugh this morning.
Enjoy your relaxing day!

I was in a gift shop earlier this week. There was a painting of buoys – thought of you.
