It may not be spring yet, but it’s starting to feel like it. I woke up yesterday morning to the sound of birds chirping, sunny skies and forty degree temps. It was glorious!
The weather was so nice, Lucy even sunbathed on the back porch for a bit. 😉
There may still be snow on the ground, but when it starts to warm up around here, it puts an extra pep in your step and you feel like you can get anything accomplished.
Yesterday I dyed 20 yards of wool.
Painted 4 shamrocks.
And wrapped a ton of packages.
I also picked out the recipes for my birthday feast from Ina’s Cookbook {my husband said he’d make them for me, how cool is that!?}.
Birthday Feast:
- Avocado & Fried Egg Tartines
- Eggs in Purgatory
- Mushroom Bolognese
- Lemon Meringue Squares
The HH even got in on the action and pulled out the air compressor so he could get started installing the beadboard in the entryway.
The space looks better already and he’s only just started.
Next up are the trim pieces on top, then he will fill the holes, sand and then caulk everything so I can paint. Who knows… We may have this little project wrapped up by the end of the weekend.
It may not be spring yet, but it’s starting to feel like it.
I hope you have a great day,
~Mavis

Thanks for keeping us entertained, as always, especially as we continue the slog through February; snowdrops here on Long Island!

Raton. I requested a custom paint by number kit and everything arrived on time and as expected. I would use them again. I usually order 16×20 so I can see the number. 🙂 Here is the link to the kits: https://www.etsy.com/listing/864608014

Whenever you eat down your pantry and continue with housework projects I just assume you’re moving and selling the house you’re in soon.

We have been enjoying nice sunny days here in north FL – but on Monday night things go “south” or maybe it’s “north” . . . LOL Our temps will drop to freezing again. I guess that darn groundhog was right . . . Oh well, at least we get a break in between the freezes.
