If you’ve been waiting for some great deals on flowers and hanging baskets at Costco, you might want to pop by your warehouse before all the good stuff is gone!
We were there yesterday and they must have just gotten their Mother’s Day shipment in because all the racks were full and the peeps were swarming all around checking everything out.
Gorgeous begonia hanging baskets were $19.99!
13” hanging baskets filled with geraniums, begonias, mini petunias and other goodness were $24.99 each.
Geranium hanging baskets were $19.99.
The HH is not a fan of geraniums. I like them though and I’ve bought the hanging baskets before and just taken the geraniums out of the basket and plopped them in a planter.
Boston ferns were $19.99.
No ferns for me though. Ferns rank right up there with rhododendrons and daylilies in my mind. Growing up in the PNW I’ve seen enough ferns to last me 10,002 lifetimes. No thanks.
20 marigolds for $15.99.
They even had little pink dahlias. I would have bought a couple of trays but it’s still too early for dahlias in my neck of the woods. 🙁
We still have daffodils in bloom around here!
You know what else it’s too early for? Giant tomato plants.
And eggplants! They sure look nice though. I forgot to look and see where they were grown. Unless you’ve got a greenhouse {and some bees!} or temps in the 70’s be sure and pass on the eggplants.
Note to self: Look into a pop up greenhouse.
Inside there were some great deals on ready to gift, cut flowers.
Ohh la la.
I love pink flowers!
I think my favorite Costco flower deal though was the orchids. Two giant beautiful orchids in one pot for $24.99.
If taken care of properly, these would last much, much longer than any cut flower arrangement you could buy. I once had a vase with 3 orchid plants in it that kept blooming for 6 months. It was crazy.
You know what else Costco had?
This 2 pack of pajama bottoms from The Gap for only $12.99. Talk about cute! I must have stood there holding them trying to decide to get them or not for a solid two minutes.
Okay, so maybe I was really trying to decide if I could get away with wearing them out in public with a white linen shirt during the summer months.
In the end I decided they looked too much like pajama bottoms and passed. But seriously, they were cute.
Happy pants. That’s what they should be called.
In the end I went home with ZERO flowers. But I did get a box of cookies. 🙂 Have you been to Costco lately? Have the flowers hit your warehouse too? Did you go home with anything?
I’m still waiting for it to warm up a little more before I go crazy and load up flowers.
