A day or two after I got back from my hiking adventure we stopped by Trader Joe’s and did a big stock up trip. Normally around this time of year I stock up on groceries because I can’t stand going into stores during the holidays.
The HH doesn’t seem to mind grocery shopping though so I didn’t get as much as I normally would, but still, I loaded up on a bunch of our favorites.
The HH, he is in LOVE with Trader Joe’s hatch chili mac and cheese. Has anyone tried the butternut risotto yet? Is it any good?
I love TJ’s tomato and roasted red pepper soup. Even without the chimchurri rice added to it.
The pappardelle pasta nests and the chicken meatballs were impulse items. 😉
I like the bagged produce items at Trader Joe’s. 2 pounds of pears {instead of 5 pounds at Costco}, just enough cauliflower for two people, 5-6 of the best small avocados on the planet earth rather than 5 jumbo {almost always tasteless} ones.
Trader Joe’s has THE BEST avocados!!! I hope they never change vendors.
Trader Joe’s $222.64
It was a good Trader Joe’s stock up trip in my book. Some easy premade dinners, fruits and vegetables, snacks, and plenty of things for pickety bits.
Local Farmstand $13.20
You can never have enough butternut squash in my book.
Market Basket $65.56 {no picture}
I set everything up on the table but apparently forgot to snap a photo of what we bought. Whoops.
I know there was ground beef, sausage and stuffing {for homemade meatloaf}, bananas, soft butter, almond milk, regular milk, canned tomatoes, cheese, tortilla chips and a rotisserie chicken.
Last week there were sheet pan party nachos.
And roasted vegetbales.
And of course big salads.
I do love a big salads.
Trader Joe’s teriyaki chicken dinner {$5.99} is cheaper than take out.
The HH made breakfast one morning.
And the rest of the days we had yogurt or oatmeal.
It was a good week in the grocery department. But most of all, the fridge is stocked and we’re ready for fall. Yee-Haw. Bring on the cold weather!!
Did you pick up anything exciting at the grocery store this past week? Curious minds want to know.
