Isn’t it funny how everything we wore in high school is back in style now? But seriously, 1990 called and they want their thick, heavy, cotton jean shorts back.
This wall mounted garden hose holder and faucet set up is gorgeous!!! And the garden hose, apparently it’s the last garden hose you’ll ever need. Big bucks though.
Speaking of big bucks… There are dream homes and then there are DREAM HOMES. Wowza.
And last but not least, Duke’s mayonnaise. The HH read about it online and said it’s supposed to be the best mayonnaise on the planet.
While he was at Market Basket yesterday he spotted it on the shelf and bought a jar. I guess we’ll have to make a BLT today and find out if it’s any good. Have you tried it?

I’ve tried Duke’s Mayonnaise and think it’s far better than other name brand mayos. It’s thicker, too. Definitely try it in a BLT.

Here in the Carolinas Duke’s is our default mayo. I like it because it is rich, but also one of the few mayos that doesn’t add sugar.

I am from SC and Dukes Mayonnaise is the only mayo that I will use. I lived in AZ for 30 years and Dukes Mayonnaise is not sold out west. The best Christmas present I got while living in AZ was a 4 pack of Dukes Mayonnaise! LOL! Now that I am back home in SC, it’s readily available. I also like the fact that there is no sugar in it. However, tastes differ, and the mayo you grew up using is probably the one you like. I’m curious to know how y’all liked the Dukes mayonnaise.

I live in Arizona and my local grocery store sells Duke’s mayonnaise. It’s okay, but pricey.

Blue Plate mayo is the mayo of the south! Duke’s is a close second! It’s almost as big a rivalry as Friday night high school football down here! 😉

Oh if you are from the south you are not allowed to have anything but Dukes mayo in your fridge it is a must. Really it is very very good, I think you will like it. Have a great weekend and hope you have a cooler weekend than what we have been having here in the Mid Atlantic. It sure has been brutal.

Mavis I’m originally from the West Coast, born and raised. My mom only used Hellman’s it Blue Ribbon mayonnaise. I moved to the East Coast, found Duke’s Mayonnaise and never went back to any other kind.
I’m 65 now! Lol

I am west coast, too, and that same Hellman’s is sold as Best Foods here in Oregon, Washington and California. I have lived in all three. I knew from an early age that it was the only brand to buy.

I’ve always preferred Hellman’s to Duke’s (Duke’s is too vinegary for me), but I recently read that Hellman’s (sold as Best’s in the west), has/is changing their formula and will now be including some ingredients (oils) that are quite sketchy. Unilever absolutely denies this, but the changes to the consistency and taste are reported all over. Who knows. Seems like in addition to artificial meat, lab grown dairy, and completely fake chocolate in most of the big candy brands, mayo may also be taking a hit. Grrrrr

Grew up eating Miracle Whip and never cared for mayo. Then they started selling Duke’s in PA. Tried it, liked it, and haven’t looked back!

How funny! We were making BLATCs (avocado, cheese) the other day, and I checked the status of the mayo. “We have enough may–DON’T buy mayo,” I say as DH heads out to get Keto bread for himself. (I’ve been skimping on grocery budget and saving leftover money for something….) He brings home a tub of Dukes (we’re in northwest) to “try it,” says man who has always insisted we only ever buy Best Foods. I used the “old” mayo, so don’t know if it is special.

Dukes is a staple here in Georgia. Each mayo has their own flavor and I really like theirs. And Hellmans.

I grew up on Miracle Whip, moved to Hellman’s mayo when I started living on my own.
I now use Hellman’s Olive Oil mayo because the flavor is good while the fat is lower.
I tried a jar of Duke’s. It was absolutely nothing special. No one in my house went into spasms of mayo ecstasy over it.
Kewpie mayo is another matter entirely. It is 100% superior to Duke’s AND Hellman’s.
