Whoever John Bray Estates has taken their photos… Should win an award. Check out their latest listing … Seagull Cottage. It’s only 584 square feet and yet it looks so roomy!
It’s got everything you need and really makes you think you could live comfortably there. *As long as you don’t have a hobby or more than two suitcases full of clothes. 🙂
Speaking of small houses… We spotted this one in Mystic the other day. Isn’t it cute? I wonder how old it is.
First cone of the season.
This is a “kiddie” cone. When I was a kid a kiddie cone was 1 small scoop of ice cream {I swear Baskin Robbins had a different scoop for the kiddie cones!}. Nowadays it’s a half pint of ice cream.
*I just asked the Google about the Baskin Robbin’s scoop sizes and according to the internet, a kid’s scoop was 2.5 ounces! A regular scoop was 4 ounces.
Remember when Jiffy corn muffin mix was a quarter?
And last but not least, I LOVE THIS DOG!
That’s it. That’s all I’ve got.
I hope you have a nice weekend. 🙂

I’m dating myself, but I remember when Jiffy mixes were 10 cents.

In Northern California jiffy mixes are around 76 cents. My kids love making them on Sunday mornings to eat with butter and honey!

Those real estate pictures are so frustrating when you are looking to buy a house! And the ones that make it look like a spacious acre of lawn when the property is measured in sq feet!

Back in the 70s, my parents owned 2 Baskin-Robbins franchises. Scoops were 2.5oz for cones or cups. Sundaes, milkshakes or malts, and ice cream sodas were based on a 2oz scoop. This was when the company was family owned. Had to go to training to be a franchise owner.

I can’t believe Lucy will be 13. I was following you before you got her.

I rarely see Jiffy mixes here. Mom would make the “chocolate sauce” for our hot fudge sundaes using the Jiffy chocoate frosting mix. I can still remember the little aluminum saucepan that she used. The spice cake mix was made often too.

I worked at baskin robbins for years – I seem to recall a smaller scoop for kiddy cones. I can still smell the store in my mind 35 years later.

Lucy is so sweet!
I read a quote today that says, “Everyone thinks they have the best dog. And none of them are wrong!” WR Purche
