The Costco spring garden deals are hopping at my warehouse and I bet they are at yours too!
I am a big fan of buying plants from Costco. When they are in season. 😉 Unidentified hydrangeas in March though? Umm no.
But for the most part, Costco’s prices are usually pretty sweet and if the plant takes a turn for the worst, you can always bring it back and they’ll make it right.
The houseplants they have are almost 75% less than what you’d pay for them at The Home Depot plus the size and quality of Costco’s plants are always really great too.
I couldn’t resist the succulents!!! I went home with 6 of them.
I put one in the bathroom and the other five are lined up in a nice row on the kitchen table. It may not look like spring outside yet, but it’s nice and green indoors. 😉
I have never had any luck with Costco bulbs or their {closed} bagged plants. I have tried three different times over the years and finally gave up.
Maybe you’ve had better luck?
The bareroot lilacs were tempting though. But they were so tiny!! I think I read online that lilacs grow about a foot a year, but that’s kind of slow in my book.
I do love the way they smell though.
Barefoot roses. 2 for $16.99 seems like a great deal. But I think I’m going to hold out for our local nursery to get their David Austin English roses in.
Wollerton Old Hall and the Generous Gardener are at the top of my list. I want to wait and see how the front of the studio looks after all the grading out front is done though before I buy anything.
I’m not sure if we are going to do a trellis around the front gate or not. If we do, I definitely think some climbing roses would look dreamy climbing up the sides.
Huge orchids for $13.99!! What a steal.
This Cedarcraft cedar self watering planter looked like a decent deal. In theory. The boards weren’t super thick though so I’m not sure how long it would last.
I do like the height though. It’s perfect for peeps who can’t do too much bending.
If you get one, be sure and check your boards though.
The 2 piece Fiskers pruning set is a deal.
And so were the two packs of Lamont Garden gloves for $14.99. I went home with a set of those. 🙂 You can never have enough garden gloves if you ask me.
All in all I thought the first round Costco spring garden deals was a winner. Now I just have to wait for the next round. fingers crossed there’s some boxwood shrubs, trees and perennials in the next shipment.
Have you been to Costco lately? Are you seeing these deals at your store too? Maybe something different? Curious minds want to know.
Have a great day everyone!
