Hall’s Quality Bakers Tetbury

Hello from the adorable Cotswolds village of Tetbury!!

We are staying at the coolest hotel in town and I can’t wait to show you around. But first… Pastries.

Last year when my friend Jen and I visited Tetbury we found a bakery; Hall’s Quality Bakers and so I wanted to go back again to buy a piece of their lard cake.

Look at that lard cake!!! Oozing with raisins and LARD. Doesn’t it look delicious!? Well it is!

The bakeshop is loaded with fresh breads and pastries today and I had to snap a few pictures and show you all the awesomeness.

Have you had flapjack before? Not the pancake but the British version? It’s sort of like a granola bar but different. I tried one in Stow-on-the-Wold and it was really good.

Hall’s has seeded flapjacks, chocolate covered flapjacks and flapjacks with caramel on top. I wish I could have bought one of everything!

Lard cake! You can get a giant piece {to feed 20 people!} or a single piece {which seems like it would be a nice treat for 4 people}.

Filled cookies are a thing here. 

And so are Bakewell tarts. 

I’ve always dreamed of owning a little bakery and if I ever did have one I’d want mine to have an enormous window display like the one they have at Halls. The only thing I’d add is price tags. 😉

There were no price tags on anything {which I thought was kind of odd} but hey, I suppose it adds to the charm.

I love the Cotswolds!!! I wish you could all be here with me. We could all get our fill of pastries and then walk all over town and admire all the gardens.
