So. We stopped by Costco the other day and I rarely stop to look in the clothing section but I did and they had these Gap Ankle Trousers for $17.99 in black {faded black, really a charcoal color}, khaki and sage green.
Yada yada yada, I can’t remember the last time I bought a pair of pants from the Gap but the quality looked good so I took a second to check them out.
Long story short, I held them up, guessed at sizing and bought one in every color.
Costco doesn’t have changing rooms so I figured if they didn’t fit, I’d just bring them back the next time we were in the area.
Well, they did fit {size 8} and they felt SO GOOD on.
Like so good, I hopped online to see if I could order a few more pairs because that would be so much easier than going back to Costco on a heavy traffic day and hoping they still had my size left.
As it turns out, they did have them online, but the pants are $2 more a pair {$19.99 instead of $17.99 in store}.
But then I noticed I could save $10 OFF when purchasing 3 or more {select clothing items} or $20 off 5-9 clothing items or even better, $50 off 10+ items on the same order. {Valid 8/3/26 through 8/31/26.}
So I put 10 pairs of pants in my online cart. When I went to checkout though, I actually received $60 off my order. So, 10 pairs of new pants for $139.90 + tax shipped.
WHAT A DEAL!!! $13.99 a pair for some SUPER comfortable pants. It looks like I’m set for a while. 😉 If you’ve been reading this blog for a while then you know I tend to buy my clothes in bulk HA HA HA.
I’m only telling you this because this was such a great deal, I just had to share.

P.S. If you buy these pants, you’ll need a seam ripper because the back pockets are sewn shut for some strange reason. But hey, new pants!! 🙂

I’ve done this exact same thing! I still have two more pairs of very comfortable dress pants in my closet that are ready to be pulled out when I need them. Currently, I am on the lookout for comfy shorts because mine are getting threadbare. When I find the right ones, I will buy a bunch!

Those look great! I’ve noticed at both Costco and Sam’s that things are often priced more online, probably to push you instore (and make more impulse purchases).
Make sure you try all of them on when they arrive – depending on how the fabric was cut, the dye used, etc can really impact the final size.
It happened to me the other day – bought two of the exact same shirts, one blue, one green. The green fit great, the blue was at least one size smaller! I felt bad I had already removed the tags from the blue shirt, but back it went! This was Eddie Bauer brand bought at Sam’s Club.

Same thing happened to me, but with pants. Found pants that fit perfectly. Went online and purchased multiple in different colors. They all fit differently in length and width, up to an entire size difference. This happened with two different brands.

Those pants look really nice. They fit you great and I would bulk buy them too. Great deal! Would love to buy them if they were full length. I imagine they would look silly on somebody who is 5’10”?

The pockets of quality clothing are sewn shut to keep the integrity of the pockets before purchase. mens suit jackets almost always are sewn shut when you buy them.

I buy my bras in quantity like that when there is a great sale, I despise bra shopping and invariably my style is discontinued when i shop again! Surely I am not the only one.

Here’s a neat trick for trying on anything with a waistband without trying it on. Zip it up and button it (or whatever closes it) and wrap it around your neck. If it touches behind your head comfortably it fits. Don’t ask me why but it works.

The pockets and the hem length really remind me of the late 90’s early 2k’s style. I love it by the way. I have a pair of jean capri’s with similar pockets from the early 2k’s that fit me again in the last year or two with some weight loss. I may look into these. Bonus that I’m very short so often times capris are the same as full length pants on me. lol
