Online Things
Last week I hooked a mini pumpkin head on a candlestick and shared a video on my youtube channel. I have two more videos in the works and am finding it easier to make {hooking} videos.
I also added 6 more bundles of wool to my Etsy shop. It was a busy week!! I did get sucked into the internet for a few hours several times last week, which always makes me a little crazy.
I’m finding it’s just better if I hop on in the morning and then don’t get back on until after the sun goes down. That way I’m too tired to get distracted.

It was 44 degrees when I got up this morning, but for the next 10 days evening temps should be in the 50’s so we should be fine.

Kitchen Things
Remember all those Weck jars we got for a steal a few years ago? Well I still have them and I’m hoping to put some of them to good use this week in the kitchen.
I’ve had such a busy summer that I haven’t been able to get any canning done but I finally have a bit of free time so I plan on busting out the jars and working on filling the canning cupboard finally. This is why I like goals. They hold you accountable to the things you want/need/set out to do!

- Fill the canning cupboard
New Recipes I’ve Shared This Year
- Double Chocolate Rye Cookies

Travel Things
Well the first daypack I tried didn’t feel right so now I’m on backpack #2. I just need a basic day pack to hold my water and sunscreen and rain pants.
Who knew finding a backpack I can stand wearing for 6 hours would be so tricky? I’ve worn it up and down the stairs twice now {for a few hours at a time and so far so good}.
I have a third {even smaller} one to try if this one doesn’t pan out though when I do a major walk around town today.

Marriage Things
The HH and I worked together on secret goal #2, went on some nice walks {the leaves are starting to change!!} and pretty much stayed busy all week.
We also cleaned out the lower portion of the garage after a busy summer of shoving things here and there and everywhere. It’s nice to be able to walk around in there again without bumping into everything!
It was a good {and busy!} week. I think we’re both looking forward to slowing things down this week and getting some things done around the house.
How about YOU? What’s new at your place? How are your goals for 2025 coming along? Have you checked any good ones off your list yet?
Have a great day everyone,
~Mavis
