Online Things
On Friday I uploaded a rug hooking video for my Mr. Snow rug hooking pattern.
I am currently at 19,959 “sales” on Etsy!! Only 41 more to go until I hit my goal of 20,000 sales.
I deleted Pinterest and Instagram from my phone and MY OH MY I feel like I gained part of my time back. Actually I KNOW I gained some of my time back.
I’ll still pop on from my laptop every once in a while, but quite honestly, I am tired of all the AI garbage {even with the filters on}.
The only optional app left on there now is the one from the library so I can listen to audiobooks. It’s awesome.
I also dyed some wool!

House Things
The bathroom vanities and storage cupboard were delivered yesterday. And they are all going back! The cupboard door was warped and sticking out at the top and indented at the bottom {and could not be adjusted}.
There was a big gap between the doors of one of the vanities and well, the overall quality of all the items were no bueno. They looked CHEAP!
So it’s back to the drawing board for vanities. 🙁
Is it just me or is the quality of products and brands you used to love going downhill? Customer service too. I don’t get it.
Maybe I’m just getting old and cranky and expect more for my money.

No serious cooking happened in the kitchen this past week. Meatloaf? Bacon? Cookies? Do those count?
Lucy doesn’t seem to mind what I make as long as I share a bite with her. I do have a few cookie recipes I want to try and one I made last year that I need to type up.
Do you have any new cookie recipes you plan to try this year? I could use a fe more ideas.

I don’t have any more travel plans for the year, but I do have a lot of painting projects that are not house related I’d like to work on.
The company I ordered my paint by numbers kit from accidentally sent me the wrong size {the new one is on its way} so I’ll get to paint Van Gogh’s three sunflowers twice.
Lucky me!

Marriage Things
And last but not least, I’ve been keeping my husband busy with all sorts of projects lately {new exterior light fixtures are up next!}.
Date night this past week was dinner at a friend’s house.
Things have been crazy busy lately {when are they not?} but today I am looking forward to spending the ENTIRE day in my pajamas, binge watching a few shows and getting some serious rug hooking time in.
Have a great day my friends! See you tomorrow. 🙂

Pumpkins! The day after Thanksgiving we do the “Great Pumpkin Drop” We all throw the many pumpkins off the second story deck. The goal is to break them open and let the roll down the hill for the forest animals. My grandchildren love this game!!!
Honeybee says
Wow Paula we do the same thing. One time a stray chicken was eating the pumpkin. No idea where that chicken came from but she was happy and clucking away.

So Cool!

It’s funny that you had your paint by number in the post with the phto of Lucy, because as soon as I saw that photo, I thought “That would make a beautiful paint by number kit”. I believe I’ve seen a business that takes photos and turns them into paint by number projects. Just a thought.

I’m not sure what dimensions you need for the cabinet, but Sauder Woodworking has some similar things. I haven’t ordered from them in a few years, but they have been good quality.
My favorite are sugar cookie Christmas trees with green sugar. I also like making chocolate chip cookies but adding red and green M&ms and pretzel pieces instead of chips. For bar cookies, I do pecan pie bars.

I’m trying Cream Cheese Sugar cookies from Sallys Baking Addiction. I’ll be taking them to a party so I like the idea of freezing the dough balls ahead of time.

ohhh, puggle daydreams…………
ok, here’s a recipe for cookies i have not made in awhile, but i wrote on it THE BEST and even underlined it in red no less, so they must be ok. i’m not a huge spice person, but i think these were not that over powering and i remember they are kind of chewy.
Molasses Cookies: 1 cup packed brown sugar, 3/4 cup softened unsalted butter, 1/4 cup molasses, 1 egg, 2 1/4 cups of flour, 2tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. ginger, 1/2 tsp. cloves, 1/4 tsp. salt, 3 Tbsp. sugar for dipping. 325, in large bowl beat, brown sugar, butter, molasses and egg. stir in remaining ingred. shape into 1 1/2in. balls, dip tops in sugar or just sprinkle on top, bake 13-16 mins. i do 14 mins. 7 min and then flip tray

Why not use a recycled old bureau for a bathroom vanity. They are customizable to your specific needs. Do you have any Restore shops near you where you could find stuff? Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We’re having ham this year instead of turkey. I’ll miss the smell of it roasting but ….. not so many leftovers to box up afterwards.
Annette says
I want to make thumbprint cookies and full with apricot or raspberry jam.
Mavis Butterfield says
I haven’t made those in a really good time! Thanks for the reminder.

Cookie making isn’t a thing in the UK, maybe it should be
Nothing is made as well any more. For example we bought 15/20 years ago from Ikea their step stool. We have a garden one, one upstairs, one in the garage etc etc they were made from thick, well planed wood which you could paint, stain etc they were excellent. My daughter bought the current one and oh dear twice the price and less than half the weight! It also didn’t go together so well. It’s a shame quality has been lost.
