When people think of Maine, they probably don’t associate it with surfing. But here in Southern Maine, when the waves are hitting, the surfers are out.
In droves.
Apparently a storm is headed this way. And if the surfing was pretty spectacular yesterday morning, I can only imagine how wicked it’s going to be this weekend.
There was hardly anywhere to park yesterday. We even spotted a few licence plates from Quebec!! Did they really drive down all this way to go surfing?
How wild is that?
I’m a firm believer everyone needs a hobby. I’m just so glad that mine doesn’t involve sharks, cold water or wet suits.
Here’s hoping you have a great weekend. Whether it’s inside or out.
If we’re going to get as much wind and rain as they saw we are though, you bet your pancakes I’ll be inside, on the couch, in my pj’s hooking all weekend.

Oh Mavis it is coming your way for sure. Here in Delaware our beaches have been destroyed and it is still coming on strong the sand will have to be replaced which is such a costly and lengthy process. I could be up for a pj kind of weekend on the sofa for sure. What ever you do hope you enjoy it. How about a little baking along the way?

Great weekend for cookie baking, soup, and hooking!

And snakes! Here on the West Coast we’ve had instances of rattlesnakes on the beach and in the water in LA and Orange Counties! I tell you I grew up going to the beach daily and never did we ever have snakes on the beach. The world is going nuts. And now we’ve got two sea turtle nests on the sand in Huntington and Seal Beach. This is a first!

Here in Florida, everyone skips school and goes surfing when there is a hurricane coming. High school kids aren’t the smartest ones lol!
