The Habor Inn Kennebunkport – Sandpiper Cottage

If you’re thinking about heading to Maine this summer and are looking for a dog friendly cottage next to the sea and within walking distance to Dock Square in Kennebunkport, Maine, then I have a place for you!

Last summer we stayed in the Sandpiper Cottage at The Harbor Inn Kennebunkport for a few days while we were waiting to close on our house.

It was fantastic, and just what we were looking for.

The Sandpiper Cottage was super clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and came with a fully equipped kitchen. Plus it had a private patio area in the back.

But best of all, Lucy the puggle princess could stay with us.

It even had air conditioning!

The location couldn’t be beat either! Yes, the grounds at The Harbor Inn were nice, {plenty of rocking chairs and I think there was even a fire pit} but there were also sidewalks galore in front of the Inn.

If you head out to the street and walk  to the left,  it would take you along the waterfront {and even past the Bush compound if you wanted to walk that far}. 

Head out to the street and take a right, and you’d be just a short walk from downtown Kennebunkport and Dock Square where all the action is.

But the best part about the cottage in my opinion was that it was its own little stand alone building at the back of the Inn. We didn’t have to worry about the noise. Street noise, people talking outside, Lucy making any noise. We were in our own little bubble.

And Lucy was totally comfortable. 

Which is a big deal if you have an energetic dog like we do. 😉 It was nice and quiet back there and we had no issue with noise at all.

Did I mention how cute the place was!? 

Seriously, this place came with everything! There were even homemade muffins and a basket of fruit on the counter when we arrived.

I LOVE giving good reviews! And I LOVE being able to share all the little gems I find here in Maine. Especially ones that I think someone else would enjoy. So if you are heading to Southern Maine this summer and are looking to splurge a little on you and your pooch, The Harbor Inn Kennebunkport has my vote. 

It’s centrally located and the owners couldn’t be nicer. But most of all, we really enjoyed our stay. So much so that I had to tell you about it! 🙂
