Do you have a truck? Do you live near Sudbury, Massachusetts? Want to make some fast cash? Well someone over there will pay you $50 if you show up and take away their used sofa.
I have no idea what you’re going to do with the sofa… But hey, there’s $50 in it for you.
*You might want to bring some gloves with you.
Yep, you guessed it. The HH was checking out the Craigslist free pages again last night and found some real gems.
If you live near Jackson, New Jersey this couch {in pristine condition!} can be yours for absolutely FREE! No stains, no tears, in fact it looks like it just came off the showroom floor! Come and get it!
Something tells me this was Grandma’s pride and joy and it’s the first time this couch has been without it’s clear vinyl slipcovers.
Hey now, this vintage Magic Chef gas stove is interesting. Too bad it’s all the way over in Laramie, Wyoming or I might try and convince the HH to pick it up for me.
If you live near Ballard High School {in Washington State} you can score “A whole variety of non working Christmas lights. Led, incandescent, colors, white, nets…. Some partially working, some not at all.”
Now who’s going to want those? Seriously. Who would want non working Christmas lights? What am I missing here?
And last but not least some FREE scoby. Mmm Mmm Good. I don’t know anything about this stuff but I don’t think I’d want to get it for free from a random stranger on the internet.
But what do I know?
Hey, it’s the weekend! Try and stay out of the clubs, okay? There’s too much to do in the garden.
Peace Out,
~Mavis

That stove is really neat! Not sure who would want non-working Christmas lights.

I don’t understand the Christmas lights either.

Mostly ICK!

Yep.

That stove is the bees knees! But the rest of it is so gross!!!!!!
Kelly-Jo says
You can recycle christmas light strings, cords and wire for money! Don’t think you’d get much more than 25 cents a pound but it all adds up, right?

That stove is a find. I bought a 1927 gas stove in pale green that came with a matching roaster. I display plants and antiques on it and store my cast iron pans in it. I’ll pass on the rest, however…. Especially on the broken lights. Who buys that?
Ramona says
Getting a couch to the dump is hard if you don’t have a truck and the dump fee is expensive here in Washington. I’m sure that is why I have seen large pieces of gross furniture curbside with free signs. The Christmas lights, well some people just can not throw broken items away. I know someone that donates broken small appliances to thrift shops because maybe someone can use them.
Now grandma’s couch that may have been covered in plastic might just need reupholstered if that is your style of couch.

I’ve grown scoby’s for years because I’m cheap and don’t want to pay for expensive wine/fruit vinegars. It’s just fun. Like a low maintanence house plant. I’ve been asked for starts but I wouldn’t offer one on line. I feel guilty for thinning them out. Why do they have to call them “mothers.” I did take a sour dough starter from a friend of a friend for my daughter. She’s a baker and sour dough can be difficult to start. Hobby’s are fun.
