What are you reading right now?
I’m currently listening to Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain and it’s fantastic. It’s interesting to learn about all the little tidbits of why and how people thrive in a quiet environment.
I also just finished Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton and LOVED it. What a sweet and interesting true story.
The Correspondent by Virginia Evans is still my favorite book so far this year though.
How about YOU? Have you read any good books lately? I’d love to check and see if they are available as an audiobook through my library.
~Mavis

Oh yes, yes, yes! I listened to the audio version several years ago. It remains one of my all time favorites. Based on a true story, it also accurately portrays what it was really like during the depression/dust bowl. The narration was top notch and added to the story. Highly recommend!
Erin says
I can’t remember if you’ve already read them, but the Thursday Murder Club books are a fantastic listen. You get all the nuances of Brit humor & quips, & the stories are well done. More mystery than thriller & such fun listens with lots of humor. They’re some of my favorite audiobooks.

Currently reading “Ripper” by Isabel Allende & “Be Ready When the Luck Happens”, a memoir by Ina Garten. I’ve read more than one of Kristin Hannah’s books. I was drawn to “Paper Heart” by Cecelia Ahern, who also wrote “P.S. I Love You” (love the movie & soundtrack). “Cloud Cuckoo Land” by Anthony Doerr, author of “All the Light We Cannot See”. I finally delved into a Margaret Atwood book – “The Handmaid’s Tale”, no less.

All the light we cannot see was so well written!
