Slow Cooked Boston Baked Beans

  • 1 pound dried white beans
  • 10 slices bacon , chopped
  • 1 medium onion , chopped
  • 1/3 cup molasses
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 cups water


  1. Soak beans in a large pot overnight in about 6 cups of water.
  2. In the morning drain the beans, rinse and place the beans in a crock pot. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beans have softened and the liquid has been mostly absorbed. Add more water if needed.
