Easy Summer Recipes – Grilled Peaches

Last night after posting my peach jam recipe, I went on Facebook  and asked, “What do I do with the other 20 pounds of peaches sitting on my counter?”

Luckily, Gwenn came to the rescue and suggested I make grilled peaches.  Yum- O!  You people are so stinkin’ smart.  When in doubt ask, right?

Since I was already planning on grilling some chicken last night, I figured what the heck, I’ll try grilling some peaches too.


Have you ever tried grilled peaches before?  Holy cow, what have I been missing all these years?

After a quick search online I settled on grilling my peaches plain Jane style with just olive oil and brown sugar.  Not to fancy, but delicious indeed.

Here’s the recipe –


3 ripe peaches, halved, pits removed
1 Tbs. olive oil
1 Tbs. brown sugar


Preheat grill {I used the medium setting}.

Brush peach halves with olive oil and place them on the grill face side down.  After about 3 to 4 minutes {when the peaches have grill marks} turn them over and sprinkle the peaches with brown sugar. Remove peaches from the grill after the brown sugar has caramelized a bit {2 minutes or so} and serve warm.

I chose to serve these peaches with dinner, but I bet they’d be pretty awesome served along or with a bog fat scoop of vanilla ice cream and a sprig of mint.

    We had these last night. I had never made them before either. They are SOOOO good! Especially with a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream! :)

    Super excited we got peaches in our bountiful basket. Can’t wait to try these Monday night. I have grilled peaches once before and topped them on a salad with blue cheese. Delish.
