I came up with 12 goals I’d like to accomplish this year with the hopes of being able to cross one off my list per month {to make them more manageable}. I thought a great way to hold myself accountable to the things I want to accomplish this year would be to do a weekly update.
After all, we all need a little help staying motivated sometimes. Here’s how I’m doing so far:
1. Clean, de-clutter and organize my entire home in 30 days or less. Done!! Now that the inside is done, I’m going to get all my outside chores done before I get to busy with the garden. You can see some of my organization tips HERE.
4. Send my daughter to college without having a nervous breakdown thus spending a week in bed sobbing. {I started sobbing yesterday and I know it’s only the beginning}. 🙁
6. Pay off my car. Here’s a video of us when we bought it last summer.

So there you have it, my goals for the new year.
How about YOU? How are your 2014 goals coming along?

P.S. YES, I know I wrote down 13 goals. I’m fairly certain I won’t be able to attain one of them. {gee, I wonder which one?}

Don’t do it, don’t do it, don’t do it. With your great growing seasons, it will never be the same.

I love this series. I would start a blog for no other reason than to do something like this to help me stay accountable and keep track of my goals!
I love the look of that rug, I have never seen one like it. Did you buy a kit somewhere? Or where would I find instructions? Thanks!

No kit delores, I just drew the design out on linen. I will be doing a post about it soon with a tutorial.

I’m going to guess that it’s the cookies goal you won’t make. But that’s just because I love cookies too.

I can solve Goal 4. I just hear that your first Ryan love is splitting because his girl friend doesn’t want children. Ryan Gosling will be looking for someone fertile to give him a child.

Hi Mavis-
I too am struggling with goal number 3, sending my first born to college this fall. I am embracing every great event of the senior year, but when i even think about her walking across the stage for her diploma, I begin to weep like a baby. I try to explain to my husband that its not a depressive or sad cry, but more of a exhaustive finish line, and I don’t know how to fill that void. Injury to insult, her brother thinks he can graduate two years later…Some nerve. Hang in there and I’ve got your back
