Yesterday was so nice, we decided to pull out the Halloween decorations and go for it. It’s hard to believe that “The Bat House” was our first “art” installation at this place.
I remember the HH thinking I was totally crazy for wanting to put bats on the house and that the amount of buoys I wanted him to make for the display {24?} was absolutely not necessary.
HA HA HA
Little did we know that a year later the rafters in the barn would be FULL of buoys for every holiday and that the perfect number of buoys for the fence would be 29. This house, it’s kind of grown into something of its own and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
It took us a few hours to get the lobsters down and the bats up. Or rather, it took the HH a few hours. I mostly supervised and hung the buoys.
The bat house 2025. I think it turned out pretty fantastic. Interesting, but not too over the top I’d say.
Thank goodness we don’t live in a HOA neighborhood anymore. Those soul crushers have no idea what they’re missing.
Happy fall everyone, I hope a pumpkin finds it’s way to your porch this season.

This looks fabulous! I agree with the HOA comment. No way would I live in a house within an HOA. I’d have so many citations written up against me.

The seasonal switch out of your house’s art installations never ceases to make me smile. Since I can’t see your house in person, I’m so glad you share with all of us. Thank you Mavis and HH for a great start to the day!

Your fall decor is charming. I hope your neighbors take inspiration from your efforts and so something for their home and gardens, too.
