I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. I’m such an airhead. This morning I opened the chicken door and 6 of our 7 chickens rushed out the door and down to the scratch feed I had spread on the grass. I panicked a little and then looked in the coop to find chicken #7 still inside the coop. I didn’t think too much of it and went inside.  Then, about 10 minutes later I went back out to the coop and there she was, still on the roosting bar and being a little awkward.

I shooed her out the door, and went back inside to tell the HH about the chicken that wouldn’t go outside.

He was like, “Maybe she wanted to lay an egg?”

Ahh yes. That would make sense. 😉
