Poor Ernesto the Elf. I hope Santa isn’t grading him on this mission. Convincing a teenage boy that Santa is in fact real, and Elves are Santa’s eyes and ears is a tough gig. I don’t even think Monkey Boy is looking for Ernesto the Elf anymore.
For the last 3 days Ernesto has perched himself up in the branches above the Nutcracker display. I’m not sure if he isn’t moving because no one has noticed him, or if camping out in front of my office is a good place to spy on people.
Hmmm. Let’s just hope he wasn’t sent here to watch ME… Because if that’s the case, I need to be on my best behavior if I want Santa to being me a box full of vegetable seeds for Christmas like he did last year.
If you would like to torture your teenagers too this holiday season, hop on over to Amazon* and grab your own Elf on the Shelf*.

What is elf on a shelf? how does it work? I want to torture my 2 sons ( I mean start a new christmas tradition) too!! clue me in 🙂
The girl version is on sale for $13.69ish at barnesandnoble.com right now! You have to spend $25 to get free shipping, but these things are usually $25-$30 on their own at Target and Amazon. I’ve been stalking them online all year and was so excited to get a book/elf this cheap!
I bet Monkey Boy looks for Ernesto, but is too cool to tell you that he found him. Maybe if Ernesto was holding a dollar bill Monkey Boy would admit to finding him. You could say that it was Santa’s gift to prove that he’s real ;p
Oh I like that! HAHAHHA!
