You are not going to believe this, but I have a new best friend. Her name is Jen and she works for Clif Bar. Jen heard about my plans to walk/run/jog the Tacoma City Marathon this May and she decided to send me some loot.
Holy nuts and berries!
I’m not exactly sure how Jen knew my favorite color was black, or that I would like the Kit’s Organic Berry and Almond Bars, but talk about a match made in heaven. Mavis + a free t-shirt and free food? Heck ya!
Look – Here I am, sharing my Clif Bars with some unsuspecting runners downtown yesterday. I tried to give them more but they mentioned something about not having enough pockets. I was totally frozen walking around outside in 30 degree temps in a t-shirt and shorts I didn’t argue with them.
So if you see my in my official Team Clif Bar t-shirt walking around passing out Clif Bars to active people in your community, come up and said Hi Mavis and grab yourself a free Clif Bar.

P.S. For those of you wondering what training plan I am following for this marathon, you can go HERE to see the training schedule. The 16 week program is designed for anyone who’s goal is to finish a marathon, and who isn’t concerned about how fast they finish. Clearly I am not trying to qualify for Boston, but I would still like to finish around 5:30. Believe it and achieve it people.
