I’m not sure how it happened, but over the past few months Lucy has gone from sleeping in her own dog bed, to sleeping in ours. She lays down at the end of our bed each night, but by the time dawn rolls around, there she is, snuggled up right beside us with her head on the pillow.

Totally normal. I’m more of a cat person but my parents have to Springer Spaniels and they do that all the time. My mom took a video of one of them snuggled up to my dad, both snoring away.
Yep – totally normal. She wants to be right in the middle of her pack! My two Chihuahuas are burrowers – one sleeps curled up next to my stomach, the other curled up behind my knees. Makes turning over at night a bit of a challenge … LOL!
Aw! I agree, can’t believe she wasn’t in your bed sooner 🙂 Our small dog sleeps in our bed, I think he gets cold and likes to be in the blankets. The two big dogs are fine on their dog beds on the floor, guess maybe because they have more hair? Anyway, that Lucy is soooo cute! Especially in blankets and resting on the pillow, lol!
That is normal at my house!! My pug Pixie sleeps in the middle between us and when one of us turns over, we all turn over, like a choreographed dance move!! My husband snores, Pixie snores and snorkles and me ………I’m up listening. All night. Your Lucy is just adorable! I’m crazy in love with pugs, any color. My Pix is black and her sister PeeWee was fawn. Love your blog! 🙂
We tried to have the first two that we adopted sleep in doggy beds. They just waited unt we fell asleep them they would jump into ours. Now all four of our dogs (3 chihuahuas and a pit bull) sleep in our bed. I actually like it because they keep me warm
Our family has included pugs for years…. My pugs would sleep on my face if they could! They love to be on the bed with me, but they begin an upward migration throughout the night with the end goal of snoring in my ear.
Cuteness attack! Our last dog slept in the bed. She was about Lucy’s size, but seemed to take up way more than her share of the bed. As she got older, getting on/off the bed become more of a challenge, so we had to put a bench at the end of the bed to help her get on & off. Our current dog does not get to sleep on the bed. She’s happy in her dog bed. The vet did tell us that jumping off the bed can be hard on a dog’s back.

That’s good to know because I was thinking about getting a little set of stairs for her. Thanks!
