Freebie Season Has Begun!
Well, it’s official. Freebie season has begun here in Maine.
Yesterday I went out for a walk and after only 15 minutes, I spotted my first FREE sign of the year.
At first all I saw was the freebie air conditioning unit alongside the road. Then I spotted the two wire trellises {obelisk?} and was like WHO WOULD GIVE THIS AWAY!?
Holy cats batman. What a great find!!! I couldn’t believe my luck.
My first thought was … What did I miss? What else was out here for free? But then I was like who cares… Just be thankful for this magical gift of soon to be garden goodness.
There was also a frog. And well, I couldn’t leave him behind. So I swooped up all my treasures and walked home. Our little area has the best finds! Just yesterday I wore the cashmere sweater I found alongside the road last fall. 😉
Who knows what I’ll find next. I’m kind of excited for freebie season this year.
What should we name the frog? Or is he a toad? Hmm.
I had planted some snow peas about 10 days ago {snow peas vines grow only about 28” tall} and I was wondering what I could use to support them.
And well, now I have the perfect thing for them to climb up. How cool is that?
My little deck garden is off to a good start. Here’s hoping that by the end of summer it will be filled with all sorts of freebie pots and other garden treasures.
Has freebie season started in YOUR neck of the woods? Have you found anything exciting alongside the road lately? Curious minds want to know.
~Mavis
P.S. I hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

Oh Mavis great finds for sure. All that would go through my mind is why are they getting rid of this? Don’t they know how cool these can be? Oh a different note the first picture of the frog sitting on your front step (to the office next door) that stone landing is so darn cool. I have always loved in New England with these huge pieces of stone for the front door. Have a great weekend. Now get out there and find some more great things.
