Online Things
It was another great week in the online department.
#1 I made another tutorial video, but I had so many other things going on that I didn’t get a chance to edit and post it. {Hopefully soon!}
#2 I am inching closer towards my goal of 20,000 sales on Etsy. I am currently at 19,076 sales. Only 924 more sales to go and I can check this goal off my list!
#3 I dyed some more wool… Black seems to be a hot color this year!
#4 I was able to squeeze in a bit of rug hooking time {not a lot, but some} and bit by bit my 3rd giant rug of the year is coming along.
#5 I’m doing really well at staying off my phone {having it on silent helps!} and staying on track. It helps to have deadlines… No dillydallying going on here!

House Things
I painted a section of the downstairs last week while the HH was away. Yesterday he changed out the tan outlets for white ones and now it’s looking really sharp downstairs.
Well, that section of it anyway. 😉
My goal is to have the inside of the house {minus} the kitchen refreshed by the end of the year. And at the pace we’re going, I think it’s going to happen!

Garden Things
The allium globemaster bulbs we planted last fall are in full bloom and boy do they look fantastic! The HH likes them so much he wants me to plant a bunch more in the fall.
They are fun to look at, don’t you think? Kind of Dr. Seuss like.

Travel Things
The HH went to NYC and while he was there he popped by MOMA and saw The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh.
He also saw a Post it Note. 😉
Museums rule! You just never know what you’re going to see. I told my husband I want to go to NYC just so I can go to all the museums. I’ve been twice; once for a few hours during a layover and another time we stopped by The Met on our way through the city.
I want to go for a real trip though. What’s the best time to visit NYC anyway? I’m thinking fall would be pretty nice.
- Explore more of the great state of Maine
- Go on a painting holiday {currently working on WHERE to go}
- Québec City {Accommodations and 1 tour booked!}
- Travel Overseas {All accommodations and 2 events are booked!}
Send the HH on a vacation{He went to NYC!}
Marriage Things
We went on a few good walks this past week… But even more exciting than that, we {the HH} put a few more lobsters on the house.
Why not? The only side of the house we don’t have them on now is the back. HA HA HA.
What am I going to do once all our projects are done!? I’m going to need to think of something here pretty quick or we’ll be in trouble.
Marriage Goals
- Keep my husband busy
- Date days
- Walk more
Secret Projects
I still have about 15 things I need to do until I can check secret goal #2 off my list. So far I have the first one done. Only 14 more to go! I’ve decided to stop talking about my secret projects for a while. They’ll get done when they get done. 🙂
How are YOUR 2025 goals coming along? Are you making good progress? Curious minds want to know.

Oh my the alliums look so darn good. I just love them and not sure why I never planted them it is my color scheme that I have always used. Blue hydrangas, pink knock out roses, cat mint (lavender) lots of lavender and anything else that would fit in the blue, pink, lavender. They sure look great in your yard. I am with your husband plant even more. Everything looks great.

Cool tip about the ‘Globemasters’ is that if they’re in a spot they like, they will absolutely multiply like crazy. 3 years ago I planted 9…I now have 39! Take care not to plant them too closely if you want them to multiply. They seem to “know” if they’re too close to throw out another bulblet and the ones that are close won’t do it. (Nature is very cool.)

If you have a choice, I would choose Christmas Time to visit NYC. There’s so much about NYC that brings Christmas alive. Tea at the Plaza – once in your life. The tree. The windows. And with winters getting warmer the liklehood of snow is fleeting. Scents and decorations. Just my 2 cents! Bakeries. Bagels.

I don’t know when the best time to go to NYC is, but I think if you avoid major holidays you’d be okay. I want to go back to go to some of the libraries. The Morgan library is really high on my list!
