Online Things
This past week I dyed 3 different colors of wool. Now all I have to do is fold, bundle and list it on Etsy. Sounds easy, right? 🙂 Some weeks I feel like I get a ton of things done. Other weeks, not so much. There are just SO MANY things going on all at once right now, it’s crazy.
The good thing is, I’m not wasting time online, social media or Pinterest. So it’s not all bad, right?

I was hoping to finish up my painting in the bathroom this past week but didn’t make the time. I did find this free pinboard while I was out on a walk though.

Garden Things
It was slim pickings in the garden this past week. We harvested tomatoes {more than pictured} and 1 lonely zucchini. That’s it.
The good news is, 2 of the 4 butternut squash are starting to turn tan and 2 of our pumpkins look like they are ready to be harvested.
I think I’ll wait another week or so just to give the pumpkins a little more time on the vine. Clearly I’m not going to hit my 365 pounds of produce goal, but you know what?
That’s okay. Next year I’ll have a much bigger garden to work with. 🙂
Here’s what we’ve harvested so far:
- Green Beans 5 pound 2 ounces
- Radishes 8.4 ounces
- Rosemary 2 ounces
- Sugar Snap Peas 1 pound 2.3 ounces
- Strawberries 5 ounces
- Tomatoes 19 pounds 15 ounces
- Zucchini 4 pounds 7 ounces

Travel Things
I read online somewhere that jumping rope helps get your heart rate up and uses a bunch of different muscles so I ordered a jump rope. It should be here any day now. I used to jump rope all the time when I was a kid {that and play tetherball!!}. Did you?
I’ve been fast walking around town like an absolute nutter and hopping on my bike when I get the chance. Training {for anything!} makes me immensely cranky and usually I wouldn’t bother but I kind of think you have to be prepared to hike as much as we have planned so I’m doing it.
Tomorrow I’ll start walking around with a pack on my back every other day for a few hours. I’m totally not looking forward to doing that either but whatever.
I know I need to do it.
Did I mention they have In-n-Out where we’re going? Talk about the best after hike reward ever!
- Explore more of the great state of Maine
- Go on a painting holiday {BOOKED!}
Québec City{Accommodations and 1 tour booked!}Travel Overseas{Spent over a week in the Cotswolds with the HH}Send the HH on a vacation{He went to NYC!}- Hiking in Zion National Park {This wasn’t planned – but how could I say no?}
Marriage Things
We worked on a bunch of projects {I can’t wait to share them with you!} and we went on a lot of walks this past week.
I love this time of year. Especially the cooler mornings and the slightly slower pace that comes with it. 🙂 It’s still so hard to believe that summer is over. Well, technically we’ve still got another week to go.
The leaves are starting to change!!! I love it.
Have a great Sunday everyone,
~Mavis
