My Goals For 2025 Week 50 of 52

Online Things

This past week I celebrated hitting my goal of 20K sales by taking the week off from all things rugs hooking so I could clean up my craft space and watch Where’d You Go Bernadette.

Actually I watched the movie twice {because when I watch a movie I’m only half watching because I always seem to be working on something at the same time}.

And while the movie was nowhere near as good as the book {not even close, movies vs books rarely are} it was fun to see the quirkiness of her character come to life on the screen. 

And maybe, just maybe she reminded me of someone I know. 😉

Online Goals for 2025

• Reach 20,000 sales in Etsy shop MavisButterfield {DONE!}
• In Stock and Ready to Ship by March 31st {DONE!}
• Create 4 new patterns/kits  {6 completed so far; Gobble, Gobble, Great Black Whale Rug , Pod of Black Whales, Tall Sunflower, Sailor’s Delight and Tom Turkey}
• Take all new pictures + videos for Etsy shop {in progress}
• Get as much as humanly possible done online January – March of this year. 
• Stop picking up my phone so much {doing great with this!}
• Spend less than 3 hours a day online {no problemo!}
• Tidy up the back end of the blog

House Things

We didn’t work on any projects this week {can you believe it?}. But I did score a sweet deal on a pine bookcase for the cottage. I plan to use it in the kitchen area. 

Maybe to store cookbooks or tchotchkes. Who knows. But it was love at first sight and I told the HH it had to come home with us. 

Sometimes you just know a piece will fit… Even if you don’t have any of the other puzzle pieces yet.

House Goals

• Paint The Inside Of The House – Making progress!
• Paint The Interior Window Trim 
• Remodel Bathroom #1 Done!
• Freshen up Bathroom #2 Done!
• Put Stuff On The Walls {working on it}
• Work on “new” Kitchen Game Plan

Garden Things

Absolutely no gardening going on here {thank you snow!!} but if you’re looking for a dress for your next holiday get together maybe you’d like this? 

Gardening season is OVER for the year {unless you count watering the poinsettias}. Luckily I have enough things to keep me busy between now and when the ground thaws. 

Garden Goals

• Grow 365 pounds of food * Nope. Didn’t happen. Maybe next year? 
• Install a side yard {flower} garden {DONE!}
• Make a Potting Bench {decided I didn’t need one} Wait. Now I do. 😉
• Make FIND a Garden Cart to sell flowers/veggies out front {DONE}

Kitchen Things

One of my goals this year was to share 12 new recipes and so far I’ve only shared 8. I told my husband that I plan on cooking all next week so I can get caught up so be on the lookout for some new recipes. 

This should be an EASY goal to check off my list. Right? 

I don’t know why it’s been such a challenge for me this year to hang out in the kitchen. 

Maybe you just get to a certain age and you’re like… Okay, I know what I like, there’s no need to to try anything new. 

I mean really, salads, cookies, tea… What else do I need? 

Kitchen Goals

• Try 12 new recipes {8 down, 4 to go}
• Fill the canning cupboard

Travel Things

I think the hiking trip was probably my favorite trip that I went on this year. It was exhausting and fun and definitely something I wouldn’t have done by myself. 

Who knows what 2026 will bring. But I hope I get to visit someplace I’ve never been before.

Marriage Things

The leg lamp is still in the window and would you believe, I spotted one in another front window yesterday? How crazy is that? 

There were no walks this past week {too cold} or date days {too tired} but lots of rest and sometimes that’s all you need for it to be a good week. 🙂
