Yesterday Lucy and I spent some time visiting with Pinky and the Girls and sprucing up the teepee area. With all the sunshine we’ve been having the last few days I figured it was finally time to start getting the garden area cleaned up.
A few weeks ago I started some peas in a couple of containers. 2 pots on the patio and 1 batch in a old gutter. As expected, the peas planted in the pots all rotted because of all of the rain we had. But the peas I started in the gutter on the side of the house, well they survived and so yesterday I transferred them to the teepee area. Now that the weather is starting to warm up again I’ll plant an additional packet of peas around the base of the teepee.With a little luck, we should be harvesting peas in around 60 days or so.
The scarves have all been washed and packed away for fall. 😉
And Pinky and the Girls have new hunting grounds… The oregano and shasta daisy patch on the side of the house. I think their pink plastic bodies will look marvelous against the white daisies once they bloom later this summer.
Spring is finally here and I couldn’t be happier.
And Lucy? Well she’s thrilled to be using those pretty paws of hers to dig up the garden area for me whenever I need her too. Life is good!
