Apples, butter and cinnamon. If you’ve got those three things on hand, then you have the ingredients to make this simple and totally scrumptious dessert.
We had it last night with vanilla ice cream, but I think this would be a big hit as a side dish at Thanksgiving or any other holiday gathering as well.
It’s light and simple and stress free. Feeding a crowd? Just double or triple the recipe.

PrintRecipe for Cinnamon Baked Apples
Ingredients
2 large apples peeled, cored and cut into chunks {I used Honeycrisp}
1 Tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Melt butter in a small baking dish {mine was 5Ă—8}.
Place chopped apples in the baking dish, sprinkle with cinnamon and toss to coat with the butter.
Bake for 15 minutes, give the apples a stir and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the apples have softened.

Ohhh, I am going to make this for my boys today! I love that there is no sugar (unless you add topping). They will still think its yummy and wont be wound up from a sugar high. Maybe we’ll stick it in the crockpot and the smell can entice them to get their schoolwork done for a snack
