St. Patrick’s Day Recipe: How to Make Guinness Beef Stew

Ingredients

2 lbs Beef Tips, cut into 1” chunks
6 Red Potatoes, quartered
3 Large Carrots, sliced into 1” thick
1 Yellow Onion, chopped
1 cup all-purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Ground Pepper
8 cups Water
1 cup Guinness Stout
5+ tablespoons Olive Oil


Instructions

Start with 2lbs beef cut into 1″ chunks.

Coat the beef  in a mixture of flour, salt and pepper.

Brown the meat in olive oil, over medium heat, in a dutch oven making sure to brown all sides of the meat.  Placed cooked meat on a plate and set aside.

Then add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to your blackened and crusty pot. Toss in your chopped potatoes, carrots and onions and saute for 3 minutes.

Add the beef back to the pot.

Add 1 cup of Guinness Stout.

Serve with a hunk of crusty bread and butter.
