I am your typical housewife living in high maintenance suburbia. I have a handsome husband, 2 kids and a flock of pet chickens. I try and feed my family with $100 a month. Hello Tuesday! One day down, 29 more to go on my Gluten Survival Kit Challenge and I must say, I am feeling pretty good. YES, I miss the milk and sugar in my tea, but whoa Nelly, I think eating a boatload of vegetables from the backyard to supplement the food storage kit is going to be pretty tasty if I do say so myself. Comfort zones, it’s good to step out of them once in a while. 😉

There are some GREAT Deals today… Especially on Palouse Lentils, Beans and Wheat Berries if you are interested. I tried this brand a few years ago and really liked the quality {and the fact that they were grown in Washington State!} I ordered the split peas to use for my favorite split pea soup.
