Life has been so busy and hectic and crazy lately, I barely find the time to squeeze in a few hours of shut eye. But with the holiday season upon us, my favorite movie-watching season is upon us, too! I LOVE curling up with a good family movie {please note that in this instance I mean a movie about families and not necessarily one that is appropriate for your entire family.
Although most of these movies should get you all jacked up to spend tons of time with your relatives!!}. I think this season just might force me to take a breather or two and relax. I mean I’ve got a whole list of movies to get through before Christmas. My requirements for a good movie are this: solid story line, good cast; makes me laugh and maybe even makes me tear up. Here are my top 10 favorites in no particular order that meet all those requirements:

I can’t believe there is a holiday family movie list that does not contain Elf! It is the best!

Absolutely love everything on the list. Love Actually, Home for the Holidays, The Wedding Date and The Family Stone are all some of my all time favorites.

I haven’t seen *any* of these. I will put them all on my list. Thanks, Mavis!

Ps, I’m a bit old fashioned and still like “A Christmas Story.”

Me, too. And “Home Alone.”

Love Actually and Elf for sure in our home. Also, Nothing Like the Holidays is so funny and touching at the same time. Debra Messing is the wife of John Leguizamo as they join his large extended family for a traditional Puerto Rican Christmas in Chicago. And Alfred Molina as the patriarch of the family (I love him!). It’s good. There is another one I like with Susan Sarandon in it, Noel, more of drama, but good. And finally, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, completely light hearted romantic comedy. Love Christmas movies!

Great picks, but where are Elf and White Christmas??
