Are you crazy for carrots? Well then this giveaway is for you!!!
Remember my friend Zoë who made me that fabulous postage stamp quilt a while back? Well not only does Zoë love to make quilts, but she also loves making potholders.
Zoë is always making something… Quilts, rope baskets, pot holders, aprons, you name it. If it involves sewing, Zoë can make it.
So when I saw these adorable carrot pot holders on her Instagram page, they were so stinkin’ cute, I just had to get them for a little wintertime {pick me up / garden therapy} giveaway.
Because seriously, who doesn’t love carrots!? {Weirdos, that’s who!}
In addition to the carrot pot holders I also picked up a few packets of my favorite Botanical Interests carrot seeds from my local nursery to give away as well.
Because HELLO, carrots are good for you. And brightly colored ones are fun to grow!

I grow carrots specifically for my dog, Farley! He loves to run around the yard with a fresh carrot pulled out of the garden. My favorite way to eat them is fresh, too! These potholders would be so fun once we install our new kitchen.

Oh, my granddaughter would love those pot holders! She’s really getting into baking and carrots are her favorite, when she was tiny she would eat the carrots off all our plates at dinner. In the winter I crave maple glazed roasted carrots. The rest of the year I usually eat raw carrots with ranch. But carrots are always added to soup and stew and a batch of pan roasted veggies. Such a versatile vegetable. Last year when we planted our carrots we ended up feeding the mama bunny and her six babies that had been torn in a flower pot on our patio. Some visited the garden daily until the carrots were all gone. Since we know only 10% of bunnies live past a year my husband let them enjoy the carrots without interference. They are just so fun and cute to watch. So no guarantee that if we planted carrots we would get any but would love to try again,

Oh boy I love carrots. I have a couple of favorite ways I eat them almost daily. I love to saute them in olive oil with a little salt and a lot of black pepper. They are so freaking good. My friend who does not eat veggies loves them. The other way is making them into about 4 inch matchsticks, which I soak in salt water then drain and serve with ranch dressing lol I love them. My favorite way to eat carrots is to microwave them in a little bit of liquid/gravy from a cooking pot roast so they taste like they cooked WITH the meat. Mine is carrot cake but my dad’s is a little unique- a carrot dog. You boil a carrot in barbecue sauce until it is soft and eat it on a roll like a hot dog. He swears it tastes just like a hot dog and I gave to say that (under duress) I tried it once and it does!

Carrots are a simple and sweet vegetable that requires little fuss so I enjoy the tri-colored ones oven roasted with olive oil, s and p, and fresh thyme or dill.

I do love carrots!! Raw, shredded in salad, cake. However, my favorite way is good old fashioned cooked with butter, salt and pepper!

Oh my gosh, how cute are those potholders?! I do love a good carrot cake, but my very favorite way to eat carrots is when I make a roast and do potatoes, onions & carrots on the side, roasted in the oven (in my favorite enamel roasting pan) and they get a little bit caramelized on the bottom of the pan. Deelish!!

I love carrots in a pot roast dinner with potatoes and onions and celery, and also in a New England boiled dinner with corned beef, potatoes and cabbage.

I have to say roasted is my favorite but I love them all ways. I even love carrot salad. I also had carrot cake for my wedding cake. Those potholders are too cute!

I love to use carrots in Carrot Ginger Soup or in Carrot Soup Indienne II, recipes I’ve been using for years and years. My daughter also makes a wicked Carrot Souffle that is fabulous.
I’ve never grown carrots in my garden, but they are on my “first try” list for 2025, now that I have a portion of a garden plot that is deep enough to attempt to grow them.

Carrots are one of my favorite veggies- so I will eat them prepared in any way. But my top choice is roasted. Whole carrots on a pan, drizzle with olive oil and little salt and then roast- delicious!

My favorite way to eat carrots is homemade canned dilly carrots. They are the best. I’ve never had good luck with growing them, I think I bought bad quality seeds, I just told hubby I wanted to try growing them again this year when writing up my garden plan for 2025. I want to prove to him it wasn’t me it’s the seeds. I have bought large amounts of carrots from our local farm store CSA program. I would love to win this bundle from you. Favorite way to eat carrots are raw straight from the garden. They are so fresh and crunchy.

My fav way to eat carrots is braising them in the oven. Peel them, cut them into carrot sticks, put in a pot with with a lid, cover them with water and leave them in the oven 400 degrees for about 50 minutes. It’s so easy. Then I drain the water, add some butter and honey or a little sugar and s & P. It’s so good and so easy for a busy life with really little kids. The little bit of honey or sugar brings out the sweetness in the carrots. Really really good.
