Freezer Meals – Teriyaki Chicken
You know how I’m always raving about freezer meals and how they make my life so easy and yada yada yada? Well I’ve combined two of my favorite things with this meal: freezer meals and crock pot meals.
Pretty sure I hit the jackpot of genius ideas with this one. Freezer meals just got even easier {if that’s even possible}.
Whip up a bunch of these and stash them away in the freezer for nights you don’t feel like cooking. You’ll be so glad you did.

Ok maybe I am not getting it, but chicken always seems so dry when done in the crock and these crock meals just don’t taste as good to me, what am I doing wrong?
LeAnna says
You are just cooking them too long 🙁 Shorten the time and then they will be juicy and yummy!

I agree. I used to put chicken in the crockpot before I left for work. When I came home it was an over cooked mess. I guess if you want “pulled” chicken it was okay but that was not what I was going for.

I get better results with chicken thighs than breasts. Some people don’t like the taste, but if you’re ok with it, it almost always comes out juicier than the breasts. I sometimes make a whole chicken in the crockpot, and the breasts are pretty good, but the thighs are AMAZING.

Before you put the breast in the bag. Use a fork or a knife to pit wholes in the breast so the juice can enter the meat.
Just like you would Beef so the flavor will get into the flesh. My son told me this one.
If you are looking for the meat to shread the slice thick tender lenight slices. Cut the cooking time back to 3 to 4 hrs. Cause your not cooking a Whole thick breast
Dawn Dominy says
Use chicken thighs – not breast. My family does not like chicken breast because it often comes out dry. I have yet to be able to screw up thighs so badly they come out dry, so we only use chicken thighs now.

THANK YOU!! I am always looking for easy freezer meals for our church meal ministry and most places only have these hugely complicated recipes or ones I am unsure people would like. This will be PERFECT!!!
