I took a photo of Lucy after her bubble bath yesterday and had to share. She’s just the sweetest dog on the planet.
I love her so much. I wish I knew what was going on in that sweet little mind of hers.
She’s highly motivated by food and loves to nap and I bet she can’t wait for the weather to warm up so she can start sunning herself on the back deck again.
She has so much spunk, it’s hard to believe she is 13 years old sometimes.
Dogs, they’re the greatest. 🙂
Here’s hoping you have a happy and productive day.

I am absolutely in love with animals, especially dogs. They seems to always know are we are feeling. Our Daisy is 3 and my constant companion. In September, my husband and I were both diagnosed with cancer, 3 days apart. Both stage 4. His is lung and mine is rectal. Daisy’s world has changed so much since our diagnosis. She’s 3 and very active. Not so much. because of the cancer, the chemo, and the pain meds, we both sleep so much. Daisy is never pesty about us playing with her. She just seems to understand that something is not quite right with mommy and daddy. We do have friends and family that will help with walking our girl. But it isn’t still the same as having two playmates. She is so perfectly patient. And the comfort of her lying with her head resting on us is just so awesome. She just seems to know when it is a day when comfort is especially needed.

I’m so glad to hear Daisy is such a comfort to you both. And that you have friends and family to help with her {and you two as well}.
I love when Lucy snuggles and you’re right, it is the sweetest thing, so awesome and comforting. They love us! And we are all so lucky to have a furry companion in our lives.
Sending you and your husband hugs from Maine.

Thank you so very much

Daisy sounds like such a treasure. Dogs always seem to know when we need extra love and attention. I’m glad she is there to offer you both comfort. Your family is in my prayers.

Thank you so much.

Our close friends had a Puggle named Lucy also. She was so sweet, loved to play, had the softest ears, snored like a buzzsaw and was also food motivated (and a bit naughty about it). Watching your Lucy reminds me so much of her.

Also, I remember her being a doggy mom to “her” chickens! ❤️

She is as adorable as ever. I remember meeting her when you still lived in GH.

Long time reader of your blog, and I remember the day that Monkey Boy brought her home as “his” dog. I love watching her enjoy life with you. Like you and Lucy, we also live near the beach (in WA) and our pups also love their beach time. Give her an extra hug for me!

You probably said when you got Lucy but I can’t remember, but what breed is she? Her nose seems longer than a usual pug.
Mavis Butterfield says
She was born December 2012 and she is a puggle. 🙂
Helen says
Wow you always called her a puggle but I didn’t realise that is an actual breed

Miss Lucy is so precious! Adorable in her pink floral scarf. We have a cairn terrier who also loves to eat and nap. Bonnie Brooke believes she should receive a treat for every activity she completes even coming in from the backyard counts in her mind. Dogs are the best!

We have a rescued schnauzer who has us well trained, too. Pretty much all she needs to do is bat an eyelash at us, and we’re up and fetching her treats! A treat can be a baby carrot, broccoli, cauliflower or some tiny little things that come from Trader Joes. She’s not picky!
