Spring cleaning has finally begun at The Lobster House. Yesterday we started with level 2 of the barn. And let me tell you, it was a mess.
I went to bed last night with a half dozen lumps on the side of my head from walking into the low hanging buoys and I can still feel them this morning!
I should probably take a Tylenol.
The barn doesn’t have heat so once the temperatures drop in early November, the holiday decorations and everything else we don’t have room for in the house gets tossed up there.
Because seriously, who wants to take the time to find a ladder and hang 50 buoys right after Christmas when it’s like 5 degrees in the barn?
No one, that’s who.
The amount of wooden buoys we have is insane.
I think we’re up to around 200 buoys! How crazy is that?
I got all the vases sorted. Now I just need the tulips to do their thing so I can roll my flower cart to the curb.
Hopefully I’ll be able to offer some hydrangea bouquets this summer too. The vases mostly came from freebie boxes and tables alongside the road last summer.
I was also able to score some terra cotta pots too.
I thought this book got left behind the last time we moved! Now I can finish it. 🙂
Apparently we never finished the dehydrated potatoes from 4 years ago. Whoops! I bet they’re still good.
Neat and tidy. Just the way I like it. Now that the table has been cleared off, I have somewhere to paint again.
I told the HH we nee some seaside {whales, crabs, starfish} buoys. He thinks we have enough. But come on now… There’s still a little room left in the rafters, right? 😉
Maybe today we’ll tackle level 1. Maybe we won’t. I need to get rid of this headache first.
What are YOUR plans for today? Anything good?

I loooooooove the barn pictures. So fabulous! What an amazing property you have, especially now that it includes the studio. Hopefully you won’t run out of projects any time soon!
I am mystified by the “his end up” on the boxes. I thought surely it was “this end up” but I just cannot see the T anywhere. ???
Mavis Butterfield says
There is no “T”. 😉

I am literally dying of laughter at this!
And I’m pretty sure you can never have too many buoys. You definitely need some seaside themed buoys.

Hahahaha! I saw the “His end up” also!!!

I was just thinking today needs to be a deep focused regular housecleaning day so it looks “fine” before I really tackle spring cleaning needs. ( windows…oh boy). Love the buoys

An a ice pack on your head would do wonders for healing.

Today is clean the craft room day for me. Lots of side quests down memory lane, and then figuring out what to keep or not. The thought of neat and tidy keep me going!
Stacey says
If there’s room to hang them, then you need more buoys!
